Jessica Simon, PSY.D., LCPAT

Dr. Jessica Simon is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist who has been practicing since 2003. She received her Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University. She believes that everyone is unique and deserves an individualized treatment plan, and that psychotherapy is both an art and a science. She utilizes curiosity, self-awareness, creativity and humor to promote personal growth and healing. Respect for individual differences and all aspects of diversity is a cornerstone of her practice.
Dr. Simon works with adolescents and adults, individually and in groups, and has completed post-graduate training in couple and family work at the Washington School of Psychiatry. She utilizes psychodynamic and family systems approaches as well as strength-based, expressive, mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
Dr. Simon has experience with a wide range of populations, including inpatient and outpatient mentally ill individuals, people who suffer from homelessness, addiction, eating disorders, developmental disabilities, social skills deficits, issues related to gender and sexuality, and trauma. She also addresses mood disorders, anxiety, and every day worries and obstacles to growth.
