John F. Martin, II, LCSW-C
Psychotherapist
John obtained his master’s degree in clinical social work from the Catholic University of America. During his first graduate internship, John worked as a case manager and connected adults and adolescents to resources in their respective communities. In his advanced year internship, John worked with youth and families experiencing grief and trauma.
These experiences have helped mold John’s therapeutic approach, which is to build trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship and meet clients where they are at. John has a passion for working with youth and families, with a particular emphasis on Black youth and families.
Outside of work, John enjoys trying new foods, traveling, going to the gym, and rewatching sci-fi/fantasy movies such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and anything Marvel.
